British Touring Car Racing at Knockhill

I got the chance to try out my new camera (a Canon 40D) and a new lens (a Canon 70-200mm f/2.8L IS I bought second-hand) along with a 1.4x extender. I have never been able to get good shots at motor racing events before, as my lenses have either been too short or too slow. Along with the 40Ds 6.5fps when shooting RAW, the lens performed brilliantly - I got a lot of good-sized shots with sharp focus.

This corner proved to be a great spot to shoot from. You can tell how tight it is, not just from the wheel in the air, but by all the debris from the tyres.

Ouch.

A good reason not to stand too close to the gravel!

Sky HD box sick?

Has your Sky HD lost it’s sparkle? Video or audio stuttering on playback if recording another channel? Then try the “Planner Rebuild Plan”!

Press Services on your remote. Then press 4, 0, 1, Select (you won’t see anything happen until you press the Select button).

This gets you to a hidden maintenance menu.

Press 7 for Planner Rebuild.

This will rebuild the Planner, while keeping all your programs, and will often cure the problem. Don’t press 8 - it will delete all your recorded programs!
