Girl and Sculpture


Taken in a little square near Notre Dame, Paris, where children played on this sculpture, climbing over the hand.

My photography club selected this as one of twenty pictures to enter in an inter-club competition that was held last night, scoring a grand (drum roll) 13/20. It was a useful exercise, although the comments didn’t actually give me any advice on how I could have scored any better. I always enjoy looking at other people’s photos though. Interestingly, my three standout favourites were all black and white.

Christmas Fair on Princes Street, Edinburgh

Every year a Christmas Fair sets up on Princes Street in Edinburgh, with a helter skelter, ferris wheel and other rides. The lights in the trees add to the atmosphere.
